Celebrities have never been shy about tossing traditional naming rules out the window. We’ve tracked the obsession with animal monikers and celestial bodies, but there is a new, vivid trend taking over.

There are a lot of color-based names out there. Heck, we even cataloged 100 amazing colorful baby ones. But lately, the pattern is specific. Quite a few stars are slotting “Blue” or “Violet” into their kids’ identities. First name? Middle name? Doesn’t matter. The goal seems to be adding saturation to the name tag.
Most recently, Hailey and Justin Bieber added a fresh entry to the roster. They welcomed a son on August 23 and named him Jack Blues. It’s another variation of “Blue” as a middle name. Another shade of blue for the baby aisle.
It isn’t just them.
